I have at last finished our Barbie Mix and Match Separates knitting pattern, 15 pages of it, waiting for a final check tomorrow. I almost gave up, and then thought that it could be ready for after Christmas... but I had another sudden serge of energy and it will be available next Monday, well, bar me breaking my other foot... Don't ask!
I have had to redesign the knitting pattern to make sure that you can easily see everything that is there, and there is a lot... so I have taken endless photos of different lengths, different styles, different waistbands, and that's just for the skirts and trousers!
And then I had a manic moment with the tops... I discovered that my crafty way of minimising the amount of sewing-in of yarn was causing disasterous issues if the collars were pulled and tugged in other ways... and you can be sure that children will not stick to a plan when they play with their dolls. But that has worked out for the better as the 4 more difficult tops are now made up in the same way.
I like patterns to run in a similar manner because it is sooooo much easier to make successive things if you have already learnt from the first. And our moto is 'Quick and Easy'...
